Two very different and versatile venues
for all occasions and functions
Whole Hog Events is part of a larger group which owns and manages two venues:
Winderhall Country House Hotel
Winderhall is the best little country house hotel and restaurant in the Lake District, located in the village of Lorton at the Northern end of the Buttermere fells.
Winder Hall hosts board meetings and strategic workshops for up to 24 delegates. You can hire the house exclusively which gives you plenty of ‘break-out’ space. Limited A/V facilities are available.
We only have seven bedrooms here though, so we do need to find other accommodation in the village or nearby. This is never a problem given sufficient notice.
There is a private off-road car-park at Winder Hall with room for 15 vehicles. There is a hot tub and sauna on-site for guests to relax.
An approximate cost for hiring Winder Hall would be in the region of £47 per delegate per day which would include tea, coffee and fresh fruit juice on arrival, mid-morning pastries, light lunch, afternoon tea and evening meal.
The hire charge for 24 hour exclusive use of the house is £975

The Saints Rooms - Conferencing Facilities
The Saints Rooms is our second venue, perfect for larger conferences and located in the centre of Cockermouth.
The Saints Rooms can manage 20-80 delegates comfortably, conference or seminar style.
Full A/V facilities are available. Car-parking can be provided in the town’s municipal car-parks near-by and we can provide car-parking permits (awaiting to hear from Allerdale BC on the cost of these daily permits).
A break-out room can be provided down-stairs from the main hall. There is no accommodation at The Saints Rooms but I have prices from four town centre hotels and their B&B rates range from £35 to £99 per person. We could arrange for evening meals either at these hotels or at one of the local restaurants.
I think this could work really well for you as it would help off-set the cabin-fever that delegates can often get when stuck inside one building for long periods of time.
Our daily delegate rate would be £22 per day which would include tea, coffee and fresh fruit juice on arrival, mid-morning pastries, hot and cold buffet lunch and afternoon tea.
The hire charge from 9am to 5pm would be £170. We would also need to factor in the hotel costs detailed above.
